Brussels Sprouts ‘Wellington’ - 5 seedlings (190233) - Brussels Sprouts ‘Wellington’ is an excellent, heavy-cropping, classic green Brussels sprout with lovely flavour. These make very handsome winter veg garden plants.

Sprouts need a sheltered, sunny spot and a rich, free-draining soil.
Sowing:
Sow seeds under cover in March/April into individual seed modules. Sow 2 seeds into each module. After germination, thin out the weakest one. Grow on until the roots fill the module and plant them out. Easy germination.

Care tips:
Plant under fleece or mesh to protect from caterpillars.
Harvest:
Throughout the winter, October - January, when sprouts at the base are walnut-sized and tightly closed. These will produce for 2 months.
Cooking Notes:
Delicious chopped finely raw in salads, or boil gently for 8 minutes to cook through. Perfect served with something orange, to let the colours on your plate sing. The sprouting tops are edible too.
